Dr. Edmond I. Griffin founded Dermatology Associates of Atlanta, PC over 40 years ago to provide patients with comprehensive skin care from head to toe. While completing his board certification at Dartmouth College, one of the key focuses during his training was on the topic of sexual disease. Following his interest in improving patients’ sexual health, Dr. Griffin worked alongside Dr. Stephen Kraus, who authored many illuminating studies at the Center for Disease Control.
Initially, Dr. Griffin began his research by conducting numerous studies that pertained to patient care and hair loss. One of the major medications that he studied was finasteride, which often induced a major side effect of erectile dysfunction in healthy males. It quickly became a concern during treatment discussions. Noticing this fundamental problem with the medication, Dr. Griffin developed a new topical formula to treat male patterned hair loss without negatively impacting a patient’s sexual health or performance.
Dr. Griffin has spoken with many concerned patients who have experienced sexual performance issues. Erectile dysfunction is a common experience that not only affects the body, but also affects self-confidence and overall mental health. It's an emotionally complicated condition that often causes many men to feel inadequate. In response to repeated patient concerns, Dr. Griffin and his board-certified Physician Assistant, Delmer L. Henderson, became certified in GAINSWave™ technology to successfully treat individuals with ED. Both experienced healthcare professionals are coming together to form a team to treat patients with this problem. With decades of experience in clinical and cosmetic dermatology paired with the cutting-edge technology of this procedure, patients can safely enhance their sexual performance and eliminate symptoms of ED.
Staying at the forefront of new emerging technology has always been a core principle of Dr. Griffin’s professional philosophy. He approaches each clinical or cosmetic challenge with the most relevant equipment and techniques in the industry. Because he has studied and administered procedures such as PRP, liposuction, and hair transplanting for decades, he has a deep knowledge of various bodily systems. As new information is released about the interaction between STEM cells and PRP, Dr. Griffin believes that these systems will combine to form the cutting-edge technology of future ED prevention. As further research is underway, he looks forward to the challenges of tomorrow while providing the best possible treatment today.
