College-bound students whose parent or grandparent serves or served in the U.S. armed forces may be eligible for the GAINSWave® Descendant of Veterans Scholarship.
By applying for the scholarship, applicants agree to the following terms and conditions:
- Satisfy all eligibility requirements set forth in the Eligibility Requirements section of the scholarship information page.
- Meet the January 1, 2021 deadline for submitting the application on this page, as well as the written personal essay and unofficial transcript
- GAINSWave® is not responsible for technical problems that cause the applicant to miss the application deadline.
How We Will Choose the Winner
GAINSWave® will appoint a scholarship committee that will review each application, essay, and supporting materials for how well they satisfy our intentions for this scholarship. The committee reserves the right to contact applicants if more information is needed to evaluate an application.
The scholarship committee does not discriminate against any applicant based on their religion, sexual orientation, race, national origin, or membership in any other protected category.
The committee’s decision is final and non-negotiable.
Privacy Statement
GAINSWave® will use the information provided in applications exclusively for the purpose of choosing the best winner for the Descendant of Veterans Scholarship. This information will not be shared, sold, or distributed to any outside party.
GAINSWave® reserves the right to publish the winner’s name, along with the winning essay, in various forms of media, such as social media, websites, press releases, and other such promotional vehicles.
